Do I know what I'm doing? um, not really...

great that she's (mostly) totally unphased by this thing wiggling around under her feet... I mean the way she used to be with all moving things like say wobble board and teeter for instance...

I played around with this trick this afternoon. I got Rip to put his front feet on my back for a reward using his BOSU ball word. Now, Rip is the worst clicker/shaping dog but he got it. I did not get all 4 feet on me but it was a start. I *think* I did this with Boost when she was younger but I don't recall. I'll try her tomorrow. She is smarter and more savvy about shaping than Rip. I do a lot of stuff by myself and I think there is a way.

Like one thing I did with Stuff to get him to jump into my arms when he was having transition problems was to place the reward on the book shelf just over my shoulder. I want to play with something like that. Reward placement - hard to place the kibble on my back once Rip hopped up there.

I was getting front feet already---she'll "perch" on just about anything physically possible... but the object she's supposed to jump onto giving her the cues without eye contact is confusing.
Anyway, I got the husband last night at a weak moment ; )
She still wouldn't jump onto my back with him click/treating (thts hard to get her brain around too--he never uses a clicker) so we switched places and I got him onto all fours and she jumped onto his back easily... but when we switched back to me as the table she got whimpery... I had to get really small and tuck my head in and finally she jumped on my back, but only once... maybe the husband will give me a hand (or a back) again tonight... oh man, he's got a wildass clicker style ; )

You are on your way. So glad you got your wild ass clicker styling hubby to help out.
