"Others began resistance training, which for rats involves climbing a wall with tiny weights attached to their tails."

I was wondering why they were attaching those weights to my tail at the climbing gym ;)

fun article

Well some choice jokes come to mind as a runner that hangs out at the gym too, I would say in my experience the level of conversation among my fellow ultra runners vs the gym Crossfit guys is far more interesting because all Crossfit people talk about is Crossfit;)

I want to see a picture of THIS!
...remarkable new study in rats. For the first time, scientists compared head-to-head the neurological impacts of different types of exercise: running, weight training and high-intensity interval training.

Rats lifting weights! Awesome. hahahahah

I'm not sure the weight training of climbing with added weight is the same as pumping all your parts separately... But ok

And then they examined their brain matter... After all that premarathon training they are ex-rats

No word on walking. I don't run. Too hard on the knees. Bike riding is okay.

So it seems that the rats that got to run decided when and how long they would run. A fairly natural activity for rats. FREEDOM OF CHOICE

The weight training rats had weights tied to their tails and forced to climb walls. Where was PETA?

The interval training rats were made to run on a forced schedule. Where was PETA once again.

So I think that this only shows the enhanced results were the rats that were given freedom of choice and did the activity because they wanted to do so. That's the story here. FREEDOM OF CHOICE. America! Apple pie!
