whoever did this, i hope they don't elevate them to being "terrorist" and just prosecute as criminal... the husband thinks they may have the guy... but there's been so much bad info, he's being cautious

As far as I can tell, there isn't enough information yet to even speculate based on what's released to the public (I'm sure law enforcement contacts have more info and your husband more in the know). So it's good to focus on what we can see, and let it be about people in pain, all of us confused, and about people helping.

I also liked this, for similar reasons to your husband's article: http://blogs.scientificamerican.com/psysociety/2013/04/15/boston-marathon-2013/

it was just amazing to see some of the early footage of people rushing into help... there is an early video not aired as much as other of a young person (from the back) almost alone in the pit with all those people who were just flattened by the explosion and this person is moving slowly and deliberately, bending down to people, ripping clothing to make tourniquets--this before the emergency peeps like national guard and cops started ripping away the barracades so emergency people could get in... i think of that young person (cant tell male or female) that incredible presence of mind in the face of what must of have been horrifying carnage... it looks like there is maybe only one other person in there trying to help, so it must have been seconds after the blast

After the horrible act that was perpetrated, it is good to be reminded that sort of individual is in the minority. The majority of us are caring people. And there are a few who quietly draw forth a degree heroism when it is called for.

I get a bit angry that the first person the news reports about questioning is a Saudi National. Yeah it could be Islamic Terrorists. Could be IRA. Could be some disturbed American. Could be our own government. Yes I still believe 911 was an inside job.

Either way I'm so sorry this happened. I try not to pay too much attention. I still have some PTSD from 911 so will only try to find out the facts.

yes, i feel the same. i can NOT imagine the level of terror that kid felt who was running from the explosion and then as he fled, tackled as a suspect in the midst of all the panic... it is just unimaginable... he must have feared for his life and then feared for his life again on top of the first fear...
