the Wednesday morning report

Got the go-ahead to car-camp in Pearl at our first USDAA trial in PA next month... only allowed to do it if there were to be other RVs at the site. They don't want me to bring my coffee-maker tho. They want me to buy the boy scout concession coffee (oh no no no nooooo) I'm trying to decide whether to bring my maker and get up SO early no one knows or just drive to starbucks in the a.m. which google says is ten minutes away... yeah, prolly do that.

Stell seems no worse for the wear since the trial. Good form really. I'm still watching her closely and I'm hoping to squeeze into a PT appointment at the upcoming SI AKC trial in NJ that we thought about but didnt enter, our PT will be there so thats handy I hope... But anyway, I signed up for another CPE trial in a couple weeks that didn't fill yet because they're sharing the location with a horse show and the horse peeps get priority parking and so the dog peeps have a long way to haul their stuff to the ring and generally don't want to, so nice, we got in late... never happens.

And I just realized that we'd over qualified for Level 4 in Jumpers and Fullhouse, got her Level 3 title... I guess I should pay more attention to these things--I get pretty micro focussed on just getting through a run, but anyhow, so now I get to feel less guilty for getting picked for nationals, we're legit partially out of Level 3 which was a lot of the yack issue on the yahoo CPE Nationals list...

There's an NJ AF that breaks into 4 pieces on the equipment swap site this morning I've inquired about, but my sis is still asleep in CA and I'd need her to go in on it... if it is to be it is to be, if not, then not

Ok, we're off to the park now. Stell gets to play with some of her less rough friends, well basically just NOT her half-brother whose goal in life is to flip her on her back---no no no, we may not be playing with him ever again, he plays dirty

I'm appalled at this for some reason. They should be happy that you're entering their trial and willing to sleep IN YOUR CAR! And you're not supposed to bring your coffee maker????? I'm sorry. I'd tell them you're either bringing your coffee maker or you're not coming. Jeesh.

yeah, i know... and of course the RV peeps will all be making THEIR own coffee inside their RVs in the morning, so what does it matter if I do too? but i'm not one to make waves at my first USDAA trial... I was only asking if I could have access to an outlet for a few minutes in the morning to make coffee and they were quite adamant... lesson learned

Make friends with someone in an RV nearby, I'm thinking. Extension cord out their window :-)

Maybe you could park next to an RV and they'd take pity on you. I sympathise with anyone deprived of a good cup of coffee to start their day and I'd hope one of the RV-ers would too.

Why don't you make a coffee donation to the Boy Scouts and bring your own coffee maker. It is a fund raiser for them and if you donate then they lose nothing.

This cracks me up! (this whole thing)

First, what the HECK is your sis still doing sleeping?? Wake her up! Not your fault she's in the wrong time zone. (of course, you can't get mad when she calls you at midnight to discuss who got kicked out on "The Biggest Loser" either. So there.

Second, COFFEE!!! I get that the boy scouts want to sell you some, but that stuff could be NASTY! What does a boy scout know about coffee? NOTHING~! The gal that hosts our ASCA trials is the sweetest woman in the world, but the coffee is horrible. I always bring my own.
I'd say drive to the starbucks, but does that mess up your camping spot?? Oh the humanity....

glad to amuse!

so, my sister got up in time, she wants the AF... now, undoing the rusty bolts to fit it in my car, all good except them rusty bolts... she doesn't watch biggest loser, my kid does tho, but mainly the kid is talking to me re: reviews about Girls the new HBO show, written and produced and starred in by former classmates of hers

i don't know what i'll do about the coffee... i just don't and its SO important to have good coffee when running at a trial... but i'm just doing the one saturday night at the site and i'll take any old spot after i come back sunday morning with my starbucks---who cares

bring a thermos, starbux will fill it for you and you'll have some for later, too.
