deep peace

...experiencing the calm that follows a very involved winter coat dog bath and towel-off and race all around tail-tucked and wild-eyed get your crazies out...

I had a Dalmatian that (due to all the white) often got baths. Her reaction once we dried her off (sorta) was very similar. I wish I had it on video. Crazed butt tucking racing around the house rubbing her neck and head on EVERYTHING. I miss that.

Dry dog = wet furniture in my house. They do the scoot and boogie against the sofa and chairs.

We used to laugh when 16lb. Casey, rest her soul, used to do that. Not so much when 85lb. Roxie goes tearing around the house -- everything is wet, knocked over and decorated with tufts of undercoat from her semi-annual molt. That said, we are nevertheless thankful that her 14-year-old self is still able to move like that!
